These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of MultiBot, including the Discord bot, web dashboard, ticket system, verification tools, Twitch, YouTube, and Kick stream alerts, moderation tools, broadcasts, transcripts, and related features.
By adding MultiBot to a Discord server, using a MultiBot command, signing in to the dashboard, or otherwise using MultiBot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use MultiBot.
1. Eligibility and Discord Rules
You may use MultiBot only if you are permitted to use Discord and the relevant Discord server and if your use complies with applicable law, Discord's Terms of Service, Discord's Community Guidelines, and any rules established by the server you are using.
Server owners and administrators are responsible for deciding which MultiBot features are appropriate for their communities and for configuring permissions, channels, roles, retention practices, and access controls.
2. Bot and Dashboard Features
MultiBot may provide features including slash commands, optional prefix-command backups, moderation actions, role management, welcome and leave messages, logging, verification, support tickets, HTML transcripts, Twitch, YouTube, and Kick stream alerts, server configuration through a web dashboard, and bot-owner broadcasts.
Features may be added, changed, suspended, or removed over time. Availability can depend on Discord permissions, Discord or streaming-provider APIs, database connectivity, hosting availability, access tier, and server-specific configuration.
3. Administrator Responsibilities
Server administrators who configure MultiBot are responsible for ensuring that the bot has only the permissions reasonably necessary for the features they enable.
Administrators are also responsible for informing their members when local rules, ticket retention, logging, verification, or other server-specific practices require notice or consent.
MultiBot should not be used to bypass Discord permissions, access controls, rate limits, platform restrictions, or the rights of other users.
4. Moderation and Automated Actions
Moderation commands are carried out at the request of authorized Discord users and are subject to Discord's permission hierarchy and API behavior.
Server owners and administrators are responsible for moderation decisions made through MultiBot. MultiBot does not independently decide whether a member should be kicked, banned, timed out, assigned a role, or otherwise moderated.
5. Tickets, Transcripts, and Message Content
If the ticket system is enabled, MultiBot may create private ticket channels and generate HTML transcripts when tickets are closed.
Ticket transcripts may include message content, usernames, display names, Discord tags, timestamps, avatar URLs, and attachment links or filenames. Server administrators are responsible for configuring who can access ticket channels and transcript destinations.
Users should avoid submitting passwords, authentication tokens, payment-card information, government identification, or other highly sensitive information through tickets.
6. Verification
MultiBot's included verification feature is role-based Discord verification. It may add or remove configured Discord roles when a member completes the verification action.
The included system is not an identity-verification service and should not be represented as verifying a person's legal identity, age, employment, background, or other real-world status.
7. Twitch Live Announcements
When Twitch, YouTube, and Kick stream alerts are enabled, MultiBot may use Twitch's public API to check configured Twitch channels and post live-status information to selected Discord channels.
Server administrators are responsible for choosing which Twitch accounts are monitored and where announcements are posted. Use of Twitch-related features is also subject to Twitch's applicable terms and API requirements.
8. Bot-Owner Broadcasts
MultiBot may provide an owner-only broadcast feature that attempts to send an announcement to servers where the bot has permission to post.
Broadcast delivery is not guaranteed. Servers without a valid destination or sufficient permissions may be skipped, and Discord rate limits or API errors may delay or prevent delivery.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not use MultiBot to facilitate unlawful activity, harassment, abuse, spam, credential theft, malicious code distribution, unauthorized surveillance, attempts to compromise Discord accounts or servers, or attempts to interfere with MultiBot, Discord, Twitch, hosting infrastructure, or other users.
You may not intentionally exploit vulnerabilities, overload the service, evade access restrictions, or use the dashboard or bot in a way that materially disrupts service for others.
10. Accounts, Authentication, and Security
The web dashboard uses Discord OAuth2. You are responsible for protecting your Discord account and for promptly revoking access or notifying the relevant operator if you believe your account or dashboard session has been compromised.
Do not share bot tokens, Discord OAuth client secrets, MySQL passwords, Twitch client secrets, session secrets, or other deployment credentials.
11. Privacy
Use of MultiBot is also subject to the MultiBot Privacy Policy, available through the web dashboard at /privacy.
The Privacy Policy describes how MultiBot handles Discord information, dashboard sessions, ticket transcripts, Twitch configuration, cookies, and other stored information.
12. Availability and Changes
MultiBot is provided on an availability basis. No guarantee is made that the bot, dashboard, integrations, stored transcripts, or any particular feature will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with future Discord or Twitch changes.
Maintenance, platform outages, API changes, rate limits, hosting failures, database problems, or software updates may temporarily affect service.
13. Suspension or Removal
A MultiBot operator may suspend or terminate access to a deployment when reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law or platform requirements, address abuse, or maintain security.
Discord server owners may remove MultiBot from their servers at any time through Discord.
14. Third-Party Services
MultiBot relies on third-party services including Discord and, when configured, Twitch and hosting/database providers.
Those services operate under their own terms, privacy policies, availability commitments, and technical restrictions. MultiBot does not control third-party service availability or policy changes.
15. Disclaimers
MultiBot is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. The operator does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent retention of data, successful delivery of every command or announcement, or that every feature will meet every server's requirements.
Server owners should maintain any independent records or backups that are important to their communities.
16. Limitation of Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the MultiBot operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by use of or inability to use MultiBot, actions taken by server administrators, third-party service outages, deleted Discord content, or user-provided content.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded.
17. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated when MultiBot's features, platform integrations, operational practices, or legal requirements change.
The effective date at the top of this document will be updated when material revisions are made. Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
